Posts

So there are a lot of new posts to last the updates for a while...The rest of my week will be spent packing. I am Evan-less for the rest of the week (thanks, Tom and Connie!), so I need to make the most of it. I can hardly believe that we're leaving for my parents' house this Saturday already. Life is a bit of a blur right now. But things are finally starting to fall into place. We still haven't had any showings of the house yet (please pray about this with us!), but only 3 of 14 sheets are left in the box on our sign out front, so we are hopeful. Also, our only other "competition" house in the neighborhood sold on Sunday after being on the market for only about 3 weeks. So that's hopeful news for us too. And as far as the moving companies go, we have three companies coming this week to give us quotes, but one of them is a guy from our church who really wanted to move us up here from Saint Louis and has promised us the best price for moving us back down there. We meet with him tomorrow, and I think it's pretty promising. Well, enjoy all of the new posts (there are a lot! pace yourself!). I'll try to send out a quick update later this week, but that will be the end of the updates until after we're settled in the Tindall house in a week or two. :)

We could really use some prayers right now, especially for:
  • the house to sell to a good, Christian family who will be kind and generous to our wonderful neighbors that we will miss!
  • that our house would sell quickly (and for a price that would help us at least come out even) so that we can find a new house in St Louis
  • that God would protect our relationship with my (Lani's) family as we move in with them by next week
  • that God would protect Jon's relationships with the staff at Faith (and send him wonderful friends and mentors to build him back up!)
  • that God would lead us to a house where we can grow as a family and do His ministry (he knows what we need!)
  • for patience and trust...lately it feels like we're playing an ultimate camp game of trust as we walk blindly as we follow God's voice (which isn't always that loud...)
  • that God would protect the baby growing inside me...and help me remember to take it easy during the moving process
  • that we would be able to form lasting friendships with the people/staff at Faith
  • that God would bless Jon's new ministry at Faith

Thanks, everyone for all of your prayers! We certainly appreciate them!!!
